Whimsy Weekend
We're going to spend the weekend just being, not performing for the grid or turning every second into content. No workbooks. No 46 things to implement. Just being a bit ridiculous and a bit whimsical and seeing what happens when you're not trying to sell anything.
There'll be some writing. There'll be some content stuff too, if you want it, but no pressure and no strategy homework. Mostly there'll be pizza and wine and a highland coo and a room full of women who actually get what it's like to run a creative business.
That's the question, isn't it? When was the last time you did something just because it was fun?
You've spent all year being productive. Come be completely fucking unproductive with us for a weekend.
Rested. Like an actual person again, not just a business owner.
There's a version of this where you come home lighter. You laughed until your stomach hurt. You did something just because it was fun.
It feels good to have a weekend that wasn't about anyone else.
Being reminded of WHO YOU ARE and why you are AMAZING.
A spark ignited to lean into your whimsy and fkn OWN who you are.
Two nights at the stunning Rose and Barn Cottages on the South Coast. It's the kind of place that feels like home the second you walk in. Warm and held and cosy in a way that makes you feel like you can finally breathe.
The whole weekend is built around one thing, giving you permission to just be. Every conversation, every session, every meal is pointed at the same thing. Helping you remember what whimsy feels like.
You have so many creative ideas, but can't ever get to them because you are so bloody tired.
You really feel like frolicing in a field like a fairy or dipping your head in a creek sound divine.
You don't want another retreat that sends you home with a workbook and 46 things to implement.
You want someone else to organise the weekend for once.
You've seen the Whimsy Club stuff and thought, yes, that, I want that in real life.
You want your people. Women who get it, who you can be a bit feral with and not have to explain yourself.
You want to do something creative that doesn't need to become a post or a product.
You want to come away from a weekend feeling full. Not burnt out.
If you're looking for a purely academic experience with no room to breathe, laugh, eat good food and be a little bit human about where you're at, this probably isn't it.
And if you've got a stick so far up your ass you can't be silly and open and a little bit honest about where you're actually at... also probably not it ๐

Growing up I thought I was just a really good liar. I once convinced my mum I needed glasses to the point where she got me actual glasses with clear lenses in them. She even brought them to school when I forgot them at home.
I forgot about needing them entirely the following term.
It turns out I wasn't lying. I was just telling stories.
That's what I want to give you this weekend. Not a content strategy. Not three pillars to abide by. The ability to look at your own life and see it as proof of exactly who you are and why your dream
clients have been searching for
someone like you. I want to sit
with you, hold space for you,
and help you figure out how to
tell all of this without it feeling like you're selling out or using the vulnerable parts of your life to make money.
And then I want to have a long lunch with you amongst the vines, eat pizza, drink wine and beer and just have the best bloody time.
I really hope you can come!
big love, Laani

That's what I want to give you this weekend. Not a strategy or a to-do list, just a proper break and the chance to remember why you started all of this in the first place, with a bit of whimsy thrown in for good measure.
I want to sit with you, hold space for you, and just have the best time. We'll frolic in a field, meet a highland coo, write something just because it's fun, and laugh way too hard at something that isn't even that funny.
